Perfect demonstration weather and a large number of visitors through the gate added up to a successful Power in Action for all involved on September 9, 2009
Taking place at Long Melford, Suffolk, courtesy of Hyde Parker Farms, the organisers estimated the attendance at more than 2,000, with visitors reported from as far as Herefordshire in the West and Kent in the South.
There were 22 working exhibitors – with 45 tractors – as well as 19 tradestands outside and another six in the Power in Action Marquee.

There were 25 static exhibitors at the 2009 event.
Amazone demonstrated its Cayena drill.
The award for best commercial ploughing plot went to the 2007 runner-up, Mark Weatherhead. Sumo’s Trio cultivator had plenty of admirers on the MDT plot.
Challenger power pulled Dowdeswell’s 8+1-furrow 155 Series plough.
Knight Farm Machinery and G&J Peck shared a plot at Power in Action 2009.
Cousins of Emneth demonstrated this combination of front discs and a Patriot cultivator at the event.
